1) Kicking and Hand Combinations: (all ages)

Kicking Techniques (left and right sides):

Front Snap Kick
Front Turning Kick
Back-Leg Turning Kick
Back Piercing Kick

Hand Techniques (left and right sides):

Straight Right
Hooking Punch
Reverse Knife-Hand (Ridgehand)


2) Patterns:

Dosan-Tul (24 Moves) and Dan-Gun Tul (21 Moves) (Adults and Children - 10 years and older).
Dan-Gun Tul (19 moves) and Chon-Ji Tul (19 Moves) (Children under 10)

3) Honsinsul: (adults, 12 years old and older, only)

a) Defence against Front R. Punch # 3 ("straight right") to head
b) Defence against Two-Handed shove (front)
c) Defence against Single Lapel Grab of left shoulder (from rear)
d) Defence against "Bear-Hug" attack from rear (arms not trapped)


4) "Three-Step" Sparring: (Adults and Children over 10)

-Sets 1 to 5 (Adults and children, 10 years-old and over)
Children under 10: sets 1 to 3.


5) Free-Sparring:

1 minute round - (able to demonstrate intermediate offense techniques and combinations, basic defence, good sportsmanship and self-control with a sparring partner).


6) Knowledge of Art: (answer any three questions)

1. What does GREEN signify in Taekwon-Do ? (signifies the plant's growth, as the Taekwon-Do skill begins to develop.)
2. Count to "ten" in Korean language (Hana, Dul, Set, Net, etc.)
3. What the Korean name for instructor (Sabunim)
4. In what country was Taekwon-Do founded ? (South Korea)
5. Name the belt colours of Taekwon-Do ? (white, yellow, green, blue, red and black)
6. What does Chon-Ji mean, and how many moves in the pattern ? ("heaven and earth," 19 moves)
7. What is the Korean word for breakfalling (adults only)? (Nak-Bup).


7) Breaking Requirement: (Adults 13 and over, only)

1 - 1" plank - with R. Back-Leg Snap kick.
(1 - 1/2 plank for women and youths)
