1) Kicking/Punching Techniques: (all ages)

(3 X right side, 3X left side)
a) Front Snap Kick, Back-Leg Snap-Kick, R. Punch, L. Punch
b) Front Snap Kick, Back-Leg Turning Kick, Low R. Back-Fist, High R. Back-Fist
c) Front Snap Kick, Back-Leg Crescent-Kick.


2) Patterns:

Chon-Ji Tul (19 Moves) and Saju-Makgi (16 Moves) (Adults and Children - 10 years and older).
Saju-Makgi (16 moves) and Saju-Jirugi (children 9 years-old and under).


3) Honsinsul (Hapkido):

A. Defence against r. punch to face # 2: (sidestep, deflect, r. ridgehand to nose, pressing kick to back of r. leg, stomp on r. foot, head lock). B. Single R. Hand lapel grab (front): (grab hand w. L. hand, turn opp.'s hand to left, strike to fold of arm pit, pull sharply to left and step in circle, throwing opp. to ground, stomp kick to face, finish arm bar using knees). C. Double wrist-grab (from rear): (opp. grabs wrists from behind, pull both wrists up in fast motion, step forward with L. leg, step back and back kick to solar plexis in fast motion.) D. Two-hand shoulder-grab (from rear) (grab wrists of opp. with your hands, turn counter-clockwise, lock elbows and arms, throw, knee on neck of opp).


4) "Three-Step" Sparring: (Adults and Children over 10)

-Sets 1 to 3 (Adults and children, 10 years-old and over)
Children under 10: - sets 1 and 2.


5) Free-Sparring:

1 minute round - (able to demonstrate basic offense, basic footwork, and hand/foot combinations, basic defence (dodging, blocking), good sportsmanship and self-control with a sparring partner).


6) Knowledge of Art: (answer any three questions)

1. What does Yellow signify in Taekwon-Do ? (signifies the earth from which a seed sprouts and takes root, as the Taekwon-Do foundation is being laid.)
2. Count to "ten" in Korean language (Hana, Dul, Set, Net, Dasot, Yosot, Ilgup, Yudol, Ahap, Yul, etc.)
3. What the Korean name for instructor (Sabunim)
4. In what country was Taekwon-Do founded ? (South Korea)
5. Name the belt colours of Taekwon-Do ? (white, yellow, green, blue, red and black)
6. What does Chon-Ji mean, and how many moves in the pattern ? ("heaven and earth," 19 moves)
7. What does Hapkido mean ? "The art (do) of Coordinated (Hap) Power (Ki)."
